I believe this demonstrates ways of combining illustration and photography, it also presents the idea of a logo and geometric form.

Final 6 for Exhibition
During the crit one of the comments that was made was that my designs did not look like album covers - which I agree with - I feel this is parcially due to the lack of typography, I also believe that by not researching actual album covers it prevented me from creating the right layout. So within the time I have left I plan to create more variations based on my research of current album covers.

Laura Agusti
Originally a fine artist, Laura Argusti decided to change to illustration as a way of expression, after ten years focusing her work on painting on canvas. Argustis work contains delicate lines, romantic atmosphere and reference to old times, adding contemporary elements, mainly animals that become humans (Anthropomorphism). 'Her black and white drawings, whose lines are extremely detailed, avoid the excess... drawing you towards the hair, feathers and horns.'
When making her illustrations Argusti uses rotring and pencil on textured paper that gives the impression of canvas, further emphasising her fine style.

Olivia Frolich - Glamour Magazine Photoshoot
During the collage workshops I discovered the work by Olivia Frolich in Glamour Magazine for a photoshoot name 'Road Trip'. The photographs within this shoot demonstrate the portrayal I have for the freeway kitten within my head.
